ZOOMLION Mining Machinery, a new segment of the global company headquartered in Changsha, China, will make its debut at the forthcoming Bauma China 2020 show in Shanghai, 24-27 November. The ZOOMLION Mining Machinery Division will launch two new products at the show – the 70 t ZE700G mining hydraulic excavator and 72 t payload ZT118 mining dump truck.
The ZT118 mining dump truck was custom-developed by ZOOMLION to be robust and rugged but also fast and with a sizeable capacity as it has a rated load of 72 t; the full penetration welded box-section frame with optimised load-bearing structure was adopted to increase the life and loading capacity of the whole vehicle. The company says the design is solid and wear-resistant, energy-saving and safe, and offers convenient maintenance. “ The use of customised high-power engines, combined with reinforced mine-specific gearboxes and high-strength axles, achieves high-efficiency power output and improves climbing ability and reduces fuel consumption.”
The new design 70 t ZE700G has seen its efficiency increased by 10%, with high-power QSK15 Cummins engine, optimised configuration of hydraulic components, high 5% output torque walking reducer, advanced electronic control system, and optimised power matching. Fuel consumption has been reduced by 10%, using a reliable emissions treatment system, meeting the new national four emission standards, plus it has a new automatic idling system, intelligent control of hydraulic oil cooling, plus automatic energy saving.
The company says: “Building on our existing mining machinery technology while pursuing innovation, the ZOOMLION Mining Machinery Division is committed to developing mining machinery and equipment that is more reliable, efficient and intelligent.” ZOOMLION says it is actively advancing strategic transformation, using “Internet thinking” and focusing on technology, quality, products and services. The Mining Machinery Division adheres to the innovative concept of “technology as the root, product-oriented” to use technology to create products that bring value for its mining customers.
While this is the first international industry event attended by ZOOMLION Mining Machinery, the group is not new to mining. Yu Yancheng, Technical Leader of the Mining Machinery Division of ZOOMLION, says that it is already a high-end equipment manufacturer of domestic mining machinery and has a national technology center. In 1987, the “Project of Complete Equipment for Open-Pit Mine with Annual Production of 10 Million Tons” saw ZOOMLION’s predecessor company win a Major Technical Equipment Award issued by the State Council. In 2012, ZOOMLION independently developed the 300 t hydraulic shovel, the ZE3000ELS. The launch of this product has laid the basis of ZOOMLION’s platform in the field of mining machinery research and development. The current ZOOMLION range includes mining crawler drilling rigs with hole drilling diameters of 76-152 mm, 36.5-300 t mining excavators, 40-72 t capacity mining dump trucks, 160-320 hp crawler dozers, as well as crushing and screening stations, mobile crushers, and continuous mining solutions such as material conveying systems and stackers/reclaimers.
