A construction worker is recovering after the bulldozer he was driving flipped and fell into a roughly 20-foot-deep trench.

Sources say he's doing OK but does have significant injuries.

After the fall, before first responders go there, it was fellow construction workers who pulled him out of the machine.

According to the incident report provided to WESH 2 News by Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS, crews responded to a bulldozer roll-over with entrapment around noon on Wednesday.

The report says it happened on the construction site near Jones Road and Wetlands Place in east St. Cloud.

By the time they arrived, other construction workers had already pulled the driver out of the bulldozer.

With help from first responders, the workers carried him to the opposite end of the trench, where there was a slope and he was pulled out.

The worker was treated on the scene before he was taken to Orlando Health by helicopter for further treatment.
