A mean fighter as well as legal mind, She-Hulk has come out on top against some of the strongest heroes and the nastiest villains in Marvel.

Jennifer Walters was an average, incredibly-talented lawyer until a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner turned her into the Jade Giantess known as She-Hulk. Gifted with Hulk-like durability and strength but able to retain her sharp intellect while transformed, Walters soon became one of the Marvel Universe's chief champions of justice.

As a mainstay of Marvel Comics since 1979, Shulkie has fought more than her fair share of battles. A mean fighter as well as a sharp legal mind, She-Hulk has come out on top against some of the strongest heroes and nastiest villains in the MU.

As the Hulk's most enduring enemy, it was only a matter of time before Abomination came to blows with Hulk's cousin. She-Hulk has never been a pushover and during the days of the Superhuman Registration Act, She-Hulk had the opportunity to take down Banner's rival while working for S.H.I.E.L.D.

When Abomination sets up shop in Reno, Nevada, She-Hulk is sent to stop him. Even though Blonsky is physically stronger, Shulkie uses her martial skills and knowledge of his psychology (as well as her super-strength) to show she can take down any foe her cousin can.

She-Hulk's adventures were traditionally as humorous as they are action-packed, so it made sense to team her up with the quirky mutants of Excalibur in writer John Furman and artist Brian Hitch's Sensational She-Hulk #26. The story saw She-Hulk join with Britain's premier superhero team to take down the sentient, body-possessing being known as Trash.

Before the group could stop the entity, they had to take down a possessed version of their teammate, Captain Britain. She-Hulk bested the bruiser easily, taking advantage of his lowered intelligence. After subduing Captain Britain, She-Hulk helped the team capture Trash and restore their good name.

Some of the Marvel Universe's most classic knock-around mooks, the Wrecking Crew are a super-powered collection of petty criminals composed of Thunderball, Bulldozer, Piledriver, and their leader the Wrecker. In issue #7 of writer Jim Shooter and penciller Mike Zeck's standard-setting crossover Secret Wars, the quartet meet the wrath of She-Hulk for the first time.

After they callously toss the battered body of the Wasp at the heroes' base, She-Hulk stalks them back to their fortress. She ambushes Bulldozer in his room, quickly making short work of him and his villainous companions. Although much the fight is off-panel, it remains a classic example of She-Hulk's strength.

Another foe who She-Hulk met in the pages of Secret Wars, Titania is perhaps She-Hulk's archnemesis. Each is a rage-powered bruiser who seeks to push past how the world defines them. However, while She-Hulk channels that for good, Titania does so for personal gain.

In artist Paul Pelletier and writer Dan Slott's She-Hulk #10, a Watcher comments on She-Hulk and Titania's rivalry to the Champion of the Universe, who seeks to team with one of the Gamma Gal's enemies. In typical fashion, She-Hulk bests Titania knocking her across a river into a garbage dump. An important part of the She-Hulk mythos, fans should watch for Titania in the She-Hulk TV series.

Not all of She-Hulk's greatest victories came by way of the fist. In fact, her greatest victory was a result of her intelligence, specifically her ability to argue. The pages of She-Hulk Volume 2 #20 depict a great number of She-Hulk's exploits, some on-panel, some off. Included is her defeat of the entire Ultimate Universe.

The story, penned by Dan Slott and Ty Templeton and pencilled by Rick Burchett, sees She-Hulk recollect her defense of Earth-616 to the Living Tribunal. Shulkie successfully defends the existence of her world from replacement by the newer, edgier Earth-1610 by arguing that ultimately, her world is a lot of fun.

She-Hulk's first series was as much an emotional comedy as it was an action story while Jennifer Walters reckoned with her transformation. The story being about superheroes, this turmoil was made manifest in She-Hulk's battles where things like sexism and family issues were literalized in the forms of robots and aliens.

Enter the Man-Thing, a creature who absorbs feelings. In writer David Kraft and pencillers Mike Vosburg and Chic Stone's Savage She-Hulk #8, Shulkie suffers the effects of an emotion-supressing draught while wandering the Everglades. She encounters the Man-Thing and the two begin to battle, the monster absorbing her blows and She-Hulk ripping off its hand. Eventually, the force of She-Hulk's rage overcomes the swamp creature, knocking it unconscious.

She-Hulk's most unfortunate victory comes in the pages of Avengers #500-1, during the Disassembled storyline. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by David Finch, the story sees She-Hulk lose control of herself and go into a violent rage as a result of the traumatized Scarlet Witch's machinations.

After a possessed Vision attacks Avengers Mansion, She-Hulk kills him by ripping him in half. When the other Avengers attempt to intervene, She-Hulk beats them with ease, knocking aside the Wasp and burying Captain America underneath a truck. Eventually, she's stopped by Iron Man. A dark day in Avengers history, this battle shows why Walters maintains the appellation of "The Savage She-Hulk."

In her time working as an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., She-Hulk found herself fighting and capturing supervillains in a style reminiscent of the Ghostbusters. Seemingly, her takedown of the sentient electromagnetic field known as Zzzax would be just another rote battle in She-Hulk's adventures. Instead, the energy being would prove more than S.H.I.E.L.D. had bargained for.

Zzzax used its powers to escape containment and wreak havoc on the Helicarrier, even taking down Iron Man. The battle, chronicled in She-Hulk Volume 2 #17 (written by Dan Slott and drawn by Rick Burchett), saw She-Hulk punch past S.H.I.E.L.D.'s various flying cars and L.M.D.s and trap Zzzax in a special containment unit.

The Champion of the Universe is an arrogant, egotistical being who's been alive since shortly after the Big Bang. As an Elder of the Universe, he seeks to fight the best in the galaxy and continually prove his strength. After attempting to enslave a planet who decides law through combat, the Champion was forced to face She-Hulk.

After being bested in their first match in writer Dan Slott and penciller Juan Bobillo's She-Hulk #8, She-Hulk spent months training under Gamora for a rematch. Upon her return to the ring, She-Hulk not only bested the braggart Champion but also forced the denizens of the planet to decide things via their brains, not brawn.

When one thinks of law in the Marvel Universe, the primary name that comes to mind is that of Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil. As She-Hulk and Daredevil are the MU's most famous (and perhaps only) lawyer superheroes, it makes sense for the two of them to meet in court during the trial of Captain America.

Writer Charles Soule and artist Javier Pulido's She-Hulk Volume 3 #10 sees Murdock prosecuting and She-Hulk defending. The two seek to prove whether Captain America is guilty of a wrongful death. After She-Hulk succeeds in her defense, the trio team up to take down Cap's former foe, Doctor Faustus. Perhaps She-Hulk's toughest battle, Cap states that he picked Walters as his lawyer because he "didn't want to lose."
